And Q is for Quartermaster, which I'm not.

I can't find the fecking thing now anyway. I've got the financial spreadsheet but nothing with the pyro we have left on.

Far too much time has passed for my memory to retain that nugget.

Ah, you were asking about what pyro we had left. :slap:

All I had was a box of 10 ball grenades which Guy now has along with the remaining stuff from our pyro training day.

Yes, the stuff left over from our training day. You mentioned you'd done some 'testing' at X-Site so wondered if those big old napthas were still with us.

Just looking at Soviet flags. In the famous picture on the Reichstag the star on Soviet flag is a block of yellow compared to the ones on Ebay where the star is an outline in yellow.

According to the 'Flags of the World' website the solid yellow star is incorrect. Anyone know if the outline star is an anachronism?

Anyone actually care?

Er, I think the only person who will notice is Diggah...

**edit**

Checked the D10 last night - god, we used a lot at Eagle (plus, i forgot how much we chucked after Wotan) luckily i was down in Pompey this afternoon for work, so popped into Sabre and picked up two Ferret packs of D10 for 30 quid - didn't get a receipt though (typical Sabre)

Just checked all my other usual suppliers, and fuck me, have prices gone up. Most are now charging between 35 to 45 quid for a Ferret pack or a drum of the stuff, so i'll nick a couple of cable reels from work, so we can wind this lot up and use it again.

And even I dont know. I suspected the flag I got was "incorrect" but in the event I thought "Screw it, its only airsoft"

Edit : ah turns out no one seems to be sure why only a star was on the one on the Riechstag (sp) More info here if you care : http://flagspot.net/flags/ru_wwii.html

The official flag of the Soviet Union from 1923 onwards had "the star on the flag was red with yellow border (not plain red)."

Meh? Stick 'soviet reichstag' into Google images. Every single image has the hammer and sickle in it.

My question was more about the start above the hammer and sickle which is solid in the Reichstag pic, but only an outline everywhere else.

Ah it appears that that specific flag was hand made by the photographer the night before in Moscow (he flew back to get one specifically for this photo and had to get a shop keeper to help him make it from red table cloths). Possibly it was easier to have a solid red star made than a cut out?

Either way... meh

Mines look great!

This von Chommley Werner is a Nazi invader of the worst sort and has been commanding forces in the Bryansk region since last September . A notorious sexual deviant (he has left burnt pairs of trousers all over the front for what reason we do not understand) and ruthless interrogator , the NKVD would dearly like to meet with him.... His second in command is Htsfr Heinz Kermit, whose legendary ability to drink his own body weight in one evening has ledto him being nicknamed “Der Frog” .

Yah fooker!!

Signs done .

Selection of direction pointers for the crossroads at B (will link up with revised maps )
6 waymarker routes (m in a box) . Stands for Korps Munitions Lagaar apparently ...RBA is Rollbahn A or route a .
AVL is the german "where to get food " sign
And a couple of others just for some flavour , Germans liked putting up 20 signs where one would do .

Explosives turned up today - I'll make up the bang in a box (tube) for ten of them this weekend.

For reference the 10g are 6.5cm high by 3.5cm dia - small enough to fit in the mines?

Edit: started to make them up: 45° version hopefully will throw debris across the road, small vertical is full of talc powder (cement dust cloud nearly blinded me at TLSFX), large vertical has debris capped with talc...

All free standing so don't need to be dug in - just hide or surround with leaves. Open end is just covered with a sheet of newspaper to prevent spillage, wire feed out under base.

Make them no wider than 3 inches diameter or else they wont fit in the mines., Height don't matter as long as the fuse is out of the top 8)

Yer, these ones are for roadside use - I'm assuming you will be using your mines as decoys instead of/as well as having charges in the mines themselves.

I've swiped the wife's liquidiser to grind cat litter/fullers earth into powder - how about I make up some bags of it. Bob a 10g charge into the well of the mine, shove a bag on top, jobs a good 'un.
